Mr and Mrs Hills

“It’s given me and my wife some freedom that wasn’t there before. It would be very dull without the boot hoist now.”

Mr Hills was an avid golfer, playing at least two rounds every week.  Unfortunately, five years ago, his multiple sclerosis (MS) began to affect his mobility.

“Although MS has been with me for a long time, it didn’t affect me at all for many years. But, in recent years, it has really kicked in, so now I can only just about walk out the front door.”

After visiting a TGA  showroom and choosing a mobility scooter, one of their representatives suggested to Mr Hills that an Autochair Boot Hoist could really help when getting the scooter in and out of his car.

“The mobility scooter and hoist make a tremendous difference. It means I can get out and about more than I did before. I can now take the scooter wherever I like, as long as I can park the car with enough space to get out and go around.”

Having the ability to lift and transport his mobility scooter into his car means visiting shops, enjoying days out with his wife and even travelling further afield is a possibility again for Mr Hills.

“There are various places that we go, generally shopping. But, as I enjoy gardening, we also visit garden centres. These are typically quite big, so I need my scooter to get around them.”

“It’s given me and my wife some freedom that wasn’t there before. It would be very dull without the boot hoist now wouldn’t it. I’ve even demonstrated the hoist for someone we parked next to in the blue badge spot the other day. They were in a wheelchair and I had no hesitation in recommending it to them.”
