A platform lift is an ideal solution for those with a mobility device looking to take it with them on car journeys. By reducing the effort and strength usually required to lift and load a mobility device into the back of a vehicle, the Joey lift by BraunAbility enables you to independently load your device into your car.
Simply drive your mobility scooter or wheelchair onto the platform, step off and use the remote control to safely lift your device into the boot of your car.
How does the platform lift work?
Our platform lift for wheelchairs and mobility scooters is designed to do all the heavy lifting for you with a straightforward 3 step process. Board the platform at the back of the car by driving your mobility device onto it and place it in park. You can then safely disembark thanks to the built in wheel chocks which provide stability.
Finally all you need to do is operate the 2 button remote control to lift the mobility device securely into the back of your car and attach the tie-down restraint system.

What is the weight capacity of a platform lift?
Our platform lift has a high lifting capacity of 159kg making it ideal for a large range of different mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
Can the platform lift be installed on any type of vehicle?
Our platform lift is suited for larger style vehicles such as SUV’s, MPV’s and vans. For specific vehicle compatibility, we always recommend contacting our team to check and confirm.
How much does it cost to install a wheelchair platform lift?
