Motability & Funding

How much do your products cost?

Pricing is indicated across each product page, or you can simply contact our team who can advise on the cost of your products of interest.

Are there any funding options available?

Buying your new adaptation couldn’t be easier with our range of funding options, from grants and finance plans to VAT exemption. Visit our funding page for detailed information.

What is Motability?

The Motability Scheme is a registered charity that enables disabled people to get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a new car. Subsequently, to ensure the car is accessible to your needs, there are a wide range of car adaptations available as part of the scheme.

 

Will Motability fund my adaptation mid-lease?

In short yes, Motability can offer grants towards an adaptation mid-way through your lease. However, we do advise you get in touch with us to discuss your adaptation needs and from there we can guide you through the process.

Ordering & Installation

Do I have to place my order on the day of my assessment?

No! Our assessments are no obligation. After providing you with your personal quotation, your assessor will explain the simple order process so that you know how to move forward if and when you wish to do so.

 

Once I place my order, when will my adaptations be installed?

Once you have placed your order with us, we aim to fit your adaptation within 7-14 days.

Where will the install take place?

We offer a UK nationwide adaptation fitting service thanks to our accredited installation partners. In most cases we can fit your products either at your own home or at your car dealership – simply choose a date and time that suits you.

How long will the install take?

In most cases, we can fit your adaptation within a few hours. Our products are designed specifically to be quick and easy to install, so you can start enjoying the extra freedom your adaptation provides as soon as possible.

Will fitting an adaptation affect my car insurance?

We install disability adaptations NOT performance modifications so it shouldn’t affect your car insurance. However we do recommend that you notify your car insurer to make them aware as each insurer will have a different policy.

Transfers & Removals

Can my adaptations be transferred into a new vehicle?

When the time comes to change vehicle, we recommend contacting our team to check compatibility of each adaptation with the new vehicle and confirm if we can facilitate a transfer.

Can my adaptations be removed if I no longer require them?

We understand circumstances change, and you may no longer require our products. Simply contact our team and we can advise on getting them removed.

Warranties, Servicing & Repairs

Do I need to service my adaptations?

Although it is not a requirement, we do advise that your adaptations are serviced every 12 months to ensure they are in top working condition. Please get in touch with us with arrange yours.

What warranties do I get with my adaptations?

All Mobility in Motion warranties sit inline with the individual manufacturers guidelines. These will be highlighted to you in your final quotation.

What happens if there is a problem with my adaptation?

We want to ensure that you are getting the very most out of your adaptations which is why our dedicated customer service team are on hand to help with any questions, advice and troubleshooting you may require. If for whatever reason your existing product may need a repair, we will arrange for one of our accredited installation partners to come out to you.
