There are a range of loading and stowage solutions available including; boot hoists and wheelchair rooftop boxes, all of which allow easy lifting and loading of a wheelchair or mobility scooter into your car.
What is the weight limit for loading a wheelchair or mobility scooter into a vehicle?
Within our boot hoist range, we have a solution that can lift a mobility device weighing up to 200kg. However, the vehicle you have and the mobility device will determine the weight capacity required. Our wheelchair rooftop box has a weight limit of 20 kg.
Can a wheelchair or mobility scooter be loaded into a vehicle by one person?
Yes, our range of loading and stowage solutions can be independently operated.
How much clearance is needed to load a wheelchair or mobility scooter into the boot of a vehicle?
Depending on the style of boot hoist you require, you will need a clearance of between 10 to 15 cm.
How can I make sure that my wheelchair or mobility scooter is safely loaded and secured for transportation?
Our loading systems are designed to provide secure transportation of your mobility device. However, we do provide additional restraint systems to be used in conjunction with our boot hoists which act like a seatbelt for your mobility device.
