Who can benefit from our manual transfer plates
Most people enter their vehicle by standing on one leg and stepping sideways whilst ducking into the seat, requiring balance and flexibility. For those with reduced mobility this can be quite difficult and above all, unsafe.
A manual transfer plate gives passengers and drivers that extra support and confidence to move safely into their car and out again, by providing a temporary platform. This enables a ‘sit first, then swivel’ seating technique which is far safer, making it an ideal adaptation for people with almost all levels of mobility.
How manual transfer plates work
We offer a quick release version and a folding version within our range. Both provide a stable platform.
The quick release transfer plate can easily slot into the fitting post and then is quickly detachable once seated into the car whilst the folding transfer plate simply folds down to aid the transfer, then folds back up for the journey.

Can a manual transfer plate be used without assistance?
Yes absolutely. Whilst they can be used where assistance is required, manual transfer plate for cars are designed for independent use.
How is a manual transfer plate installed?
We have two manual transfer plates within our range which are installed slightly differently. One is fitted to the seat mount and the other is fitted to the B-pillar.
Are there any maintenance requirements for manual transfer plates?
Manual transfer plates require very little maintenance but we do recommend an annual maintenance check. They can be easily wiped with a damp cloth to clean them.
