REMAP is a remarkable UK charity that changes lives – one custom creation at a time. Each year, it supports around 3,000 disabled people by designing and building bespoke equipment to meet their specific needs. Whether it’s something simple to make daily life easier – like getting out of bed or enjoying a meal – or realising an ambition, such as riding a bike or painting, REMAP is here to help.
This service is completely free of charge, filling the gap when no suitable commercial solution exists. At the heart of REMAP is a mission to empower people with greater independence and a better quality of life.
REMAP operates through 65 local panels across the UK and a passionate network of 800 skilled volunteers – including engineers, woodworkers, metalworkers, and 3D-printing experts – who together dedicate more than 50,000 hours each year to creating life-enhancing solutions.
