What is the weight capacity of a person hoist?

The person hoist can lift a user weighing up to 125 kgs.

Is there a height limit for use of a person hoist?

There is no height limit for use of a person hoist, however the taller you are, the more height you will need within the car aperture as well as good range of neck movement.

To confirm user suitability and vehicle compatibility for the person hoist, we always conduct a mobility assessment.

What maintenance is required for a person hoist?

Although it is not a requirement, we do advise that your person hoist is serviced every 12 months to ensure it is in top working condition. Please get in touch with us to arrange yours.

How long does it take to install a person hoist?

The person hoist can typically be fitted within 2-5 hours depending on your car make and model. Meaning you enjoy the freedom of comfortable transfers as soon as possible.

How do I ensure the safety of the person being lifted with a hoist?

Our person hoists are designed for safe and reliable use, but it is imperative that the sling is set up and attached correctly before lifting the user

Within our mobility assessment, we will ensure the person operating the hoist is comfortable to do so and will receive a full demonstration.

Can a person hoist be transferred if I change my car?

In many cases, yes. Although when the time comes to change your car, we recommend contacting our team to check compatibility of your person hoist with the new vehicle and confirm if we can facilitate a transfer. A new installation kit is typically required.

How much does it cost to install a person hoist in a car?

Person hoists start from £2,995 including professional installation and a 3-year warranty. The final price can vary depending on the hoist configuration and any additional adaptations required to meet the user’s specific transfer needs.
