• Remote Control Devices allow drivers with limited mobility to steer the car and operate a range of secondary functions, such as the indicators, horn, headlights and wipers – from one device.

Toyota’s practical boot space can be adapted to help you bring your mobility devices wherever you go:

• Car Boot Hoists – Lift and load a mobility scooter or wheelchair into your Toyota’s boot.
• Wheelchair Rooftop Boxes – Securely lift and store a manual wheelchair on the roof, freeing up boot space.
• Platform Lifts – Simple roll-on access for scooters or wheelchairs, lifted safely into the boot.

Easy Access and Seating Solutions

Safe and smooth access to your Toyota is essential, especially for drivers or passengers transferring from wheelchairs or other mobility devices:

• Transfer Plates provide a temporary stable platform on which to pause and pivot either from standing or a mobility device. 
• Person Hoists lift you, or your passenger, via a fitted sling and hoists you or your passenger out of your mobility device and into the car. 
• Swivel Seats enable easy access by turning up to 90 degrees outside the vehicle, lowering, and even transferring from the vehicle entirely onto a wheelchair frame.
• Side Steps provide an additional platform to reduce the step height from the ground to the vehicle floor in larger vehicles.

• Charitable Grants – Some disability charities offer support for adaptations if you’re not on the Motability Scheme.
• VAT Exemption – Registered disabled drivers buying a Toyota privately may be eligible for VAT exemptions, giving you more flexibility for adaptations.
